Valentines Day is right around the corner, and is more often than not a time that we show care towards those we love. Here at the Partnership for Successful Living it is no different as we continue to show compassion and care to those we serve throughout all of the programs across the six agencies, be it in providing housing to Veterans or helping those looking for treatment through the Nashua Safe Station program. This year, we have partnered with several businesses in downtown Nashua so that you can help the PSL while also showing your loved ones you care at the same time! Between now and February 11th, when you visit Martha’s Exchange, jajaBelles, WineNot or Fortin Gage and purchase any of the following, a $5 donation will be made to us thanks to you: Box of chocolates ($25 – Martha’s Exchange) Tin of cookies MORE >

We thought it might be interesting to take a look at all the good that goes into just preparing the meal, and how much your donations to the agencies that make up the Partnership for Successful Living make a difference. It’s pretty amazing to see how even a single can of corn can make a huge impact. Icons designed by madebyoliver, Nikita Golubev and freepik from Flaticon MORE >

POSTED ON April 7th BY dcollins
Life Savers In Our Midst! Wednesday, March 30th, at 4:25 a.m., seemed like a typical shift at the Maple Arms Emergency Shelter of Harbor Homes. A long-time and dedicated employee at the Shelter was taking advantage of the quiet hours to fill out some requisite paper work, when a guest came running and screaming into the office. “He’s not breathing, and he looks gray!” With only a split second to react, the staff member instinctively grabbed his cell phone and a Narcan kit, and ran to the apartment where the man was sleeping. He promptly called 911 for emergency medical assistance, but as soon as he saw the guest, he knew he had to act fast. With seconds to assess the situation, he recognized that the man showed signs of overdosing on some kind of substance. Per the 911 dispatcher, the men moved the patient from MORE >
49th Annual NH State Home Show Teams Up with Harbor Homes
POSTED ON March 20th BY dcollins
When Kendall Buck, CEO of the New Hampshire Home Builders Association invited Harbor Homes to take part in the 49th Annual NH State Home Show, we were delighted! This year’s theme was Veteran focused, complete with a “Hammers for Veterans” auction, and it seemed like a perfect match. Show attendees could bring in non-perishable food, socks, and/or hygiene items at the two entrances to the show, and in exchange, received a $3 discount on their entry ticket! All the donations were to go to the Veterans of Harbor Homes. It was a win-win situation! The event featured a grand opening at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, with welcoming remarks from many dignitaries including Governor Hassan, Senator Ayotte, and our own esteemed member of our Board of Directors, Lynn King, featured below. There was a live auction which included lunch with Senator Ayotte, and many other MORE >
