Recap of the 2017 Thomas O Cash HIV/AIDS Walk

On 10/03/2017

On a beautiful late summer day, staff of the Southern NH HIV/AIDS Task Force were joined at Greeley Park in Nashua by clients, family members, and staff from other organizations within the Partnership for Successful Living to raise funds and awareness for our agency, as well as to remember Thomas O Cash and others who have died of AIDS. This fundraiser is crucially important to the Task Force as the funds help to pay for our agency operations and services such as free, confidential HIV testing.

This year, you helped us to raise over $8,000! Our top pledge earner was Anthony Costa and the top pledge earning team was the “Clinic Squad” from Harbor Care Health and Wellness Center, the Federally Qualified Healthcare program located within our partner agency, Harbor Homes. This is not the first time for either Anthony or the Clinic Squad to be top pledge earners, so we thank them all so much for their ongoing support and dedication to this event and our agency. We had a new team join us this year from the Levi’s Store at the Merrimack Outlets, and they are already talking about other ways to support our agency. We also were so pleased to have students, professors and advisors from Southern NH University join us again as volunteers and walkers.

At this year’s Walk, the Task Force welcomed back Bob’s Magical Music as our event DJ, and he sure kept us all dancing! This year we also had a performance by the New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus. Everyone who came to the event enjoyed the music that was played and were grateful to hear the voices of these men rise up against the darkness that seems to be going on in the world these days.

So many folks contributed to the success of the day, particularly our sponsors; NH Healthy Families, Anthony Piacenza from better Homes and Gardens- the Masiello Group, and the Yellow Monkey in Ogunquit. Huge thanks to them as well as our additional event contributors: Nashua Living Magazine, Soprano’s Pizzeria, Hannaford Supermarket, Toyota of Nashua, City of Nashua, Jean Adie, Brad Van Dyke and Welcoming Light, Inc. , and all our Walkers, Volunteers, Sponsors and Donors.

Until It’s Over……
