Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program of Harbor Homes Offers Computer Lab to Area Veterans

On 02/07/2013

At Harbor Homes we are continuously working to end homelessness among our New Hampshire veterans. In order to better support our homeless veterans and their families, Harbor Homes has created programs that give veterans the very best chance of becoming successful. The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program is a Department of Labor-funded initiative that helps veterans gain employment and  maintain a successful career path.

The Homeless Reintegration Program realizes that most jobs currently available are seeking employees who have efficient computer skills. To ensure that homeless veterans have these computer skills,  the HVRP program has now opened their computer labs to all area veterans. HVRP uses 250 computer programs to train homeless veterans. Programs include trainings on Microsoft Office and even social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter. The program also offers assistance working on resumes, sending resumes, applying for jobs on line, and doing job searching.

The Homeless Reintegration Program computer lab is located in Harbor Homes at 45 High Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. The hours of operation are as follows:

Mon- Wed 8:00am – 1:30pm

Tues – Thurs 8:00am – 4:00pm

CLOSED on Fridays

Also available are beginners to experienced one on one classes for HVRP clients that qualify. For more information about the computer lab please contact Harbor Homes at (603)882-3616 or e-mail a.reed@harborhomes.org
